In 2019, I helped name ‘Basic Ass Pumpkin Spice Latte Brick of Soap’. This was one of Duke Cannon’s first LTOs. The Karen’s of the world (sorry Karen’s) were having a hay day with anything and everything pumpkin spice. Being that the original soap was called Big Ass Brick of Soap and the basic b**** seasonal flavor of the year, the leap from ‘Big Ass’ to ‘Basic Ass’ seemed logical and downright funny.
Fast forward to 2025, relaunching this LTO with a slight refresh, the team pushed the boundaries a bit further. ‘Loved by your aunt Julie’ adorned the side of the box as an easter egg paired with the iconic Karen haircut bug. I created that vector bug, concepted the illustration (the logo cinnamon dusted on the top of a frothy pumpkin latte, and everything fall down to the leaf shaped coaster).
